    Role Summary

    The VP MSG Live will contribute to strategic initiatives across the Live division at MSG This position will be an executive-ready, dependable, highly efficient, and reliable problem-solver who is comfortable navigating new and / or time-sensitive situations and exercises discretion related to confidential materials and company information. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, prompt and clear communication skills, analytical problem-solving ability, and an orientation toward execution.

    Specific Functions/Activities Summary

    • Oversee Special Events at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, the Hulu Theater at MSG, the Beacon Theatre and The Chicago Theatre. This includes oversight of staff in their day to day operations, P & L responsibilities and growth plan.
    • Oversee Venue Tours at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall and The Chicago Theatre. This includes oversight of high level day to day operations, cost management and P & L responsibilities
    • Responsible for developing and implementing top business initiatives by ensuring successful planning, execution & roll-out to accelerate growth and efficiencies across the Live organization.
    • Responsible for synthesizing large amounts of information to transform them into insights to share with the team, conducting ad hoc relevant analysis and manage business planning, including operations, goals setting and monitoring and budgeting.
    • Implement short and long-term programs and processes to optimize department work flow.
    • Organize and facilitate meetings as necessary (e.g., creating agendas, taking notes and action items, drafting correspondence, and following up to see action items through to completion).
    • Serve as a liaison to cross-functional groups across the entire company
    • Compile, author, and edit briefing materials and build presentations as requested

    Qualifications

    • Strong executive presence and proven leadership skills
    • Ability to articulate and direct an aggressive functional/operating agenda in a fast-paced, intense and highly-matrixed environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence, while exercising sensitivity to the audience
    • Ability to understand and successfully take charge of difficult organizational problems and to formulate/drive appropriate solutions
    • Ability to interface with and work with individuals at all levels
    • Experience in Entertainment Industry
    • Knowledge of budgeting processes
    • 7+ years’ experience in a leadership role

    Education

    Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
