Event Financial Support (90%)
The Manager prepares labor & cost estimates for various events primarily at MSG Theaters, inclusive of rate card rent for use by MSG Live Booking department executives to negotiate deals with clients. The Manager will be proficient and well versed in all types of events including concerts, family attractions, performing arts, and special events, as well as all types of deals including rentals, co-promotions, and self-promotions.
The Manager is responsible for tracking event costs, reviewing contracts, conducting settlements with promoters and/or artist representatives, preparing P&L statements, compiling post event estimates, and reviewing the monthly reconciliation to general ledger. The Manager is also responsible for maintaining event files.
The Manager will develop financial and operational expertise across MSG’s Venues related to labor and non-labor expenses. This will include understanding and summarizing all union agreements, work rules and applicable rate cards. The Manager will be used as a resource by the Bookers and other Finance Staff.
Special Projects (10%)
The Manager shall provide primary analytical support to critical special projects as assigned (e.g. annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, rate card analysis, venue standards, and competitive analysis, etc.). This will include projects and reporting that cross divisions, requiring the Manager to maintain positive working relationships across the company.
