    Role Summary

    The Director of Warehouse will oversee and manage the day to day operation of the warehouse within Madison Square Garden (Arena & Theater). The Director is responsible for coordinating daily activities pertaining to receiving, storage, issuing food, beverage, merchandise supplies and equipment. This position will report into the Vice President of Food & Beverage Operations.

    Specific Functions/Activities Summary

    • Ensure that all NYC Department of Health requirements are in compliance.
    • Develop SOP procedures to track inventory, and product movement
    • Oversee daily deliveries to over 70 revenue centers
    • Replace and order equipment as necessary
    • Partner with People Practices as it pertains to recruitment and training of new hires.
    • Ensure payroll is completed and closed out timely each week.
    • Review inventory methods and controls to assist in the reduction of product loss while maintaining efficiencies.
    • Direct the F&B outside equipment maintenance contractor
    • Manage the departments equipment budget and orders
    • Oversee the MSG Warehouse, RCMH Warehouse as well as any F&M off-site Warehouse
    • Work with internal clients on sponsorship fulfillment
    • Assist with all reports needed for management team
    • Participate and assist with all company growth initiatives
    • Work with all Tour Merchandisers to advance show merchandise into MSG
    • Monitor and approve all tour merchandise settlements
    • Implement monthly physical inventory processes and partner with the finance team for reporting and budgeting purposes.
    • Assist the finance team with company sponsored internal and external audits
    • Help formulate and adhere to direct and indirect departmental budgets.
    • Partner with People Practices in the facilitation of coaching/progressive discipline process
    • Knowledgeable with integrated purchasing and perpetual inventory systems
    • Work in collaboration with the Vice President Merchandise to ensure sports & concert inventory is accounted for and maintained.


    • Minimum 8-10 years of management experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving capacity
    • Minimum of 60 advanced educational credits required
    • Ability to compile and execute company and departmental standard operating procedures and procedures (SOP’s).
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) and the ability to manage a unionized workforce.
    • Excellent verbal & written communication, organizational and time management skills required
    • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment
    • PC skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
    • Possess exceptional attention to detail and strong follow-up skills necessary
    • Must have the ability to work independently when necessary, and use sound business judgment
    • Ability to present an uplifting personality while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and business ethics
    • Experience in managing cross functional teams and building relationships
    • Demonstrates integrity, tact, diplomacy and a commitment to company values, and principles while ensuring the upmost consistency
    • Skilled at working collaboratively and in a team environment
    • Adept at maintaining a positive, open, approachable, and professional relationship with a diverse group
    • Problem solving, reasoning, motivational and organizational abilities are used often

    • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while managing multiple tasks.
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required
    • Must be willing to travel to other locations as needed (NYC)


    Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
