    Role Summary

    From the moment they first appeared in 1925, the Rockettes have been American icons. They are the oldest dance company in America, and the world’s premier precision dance company. Rockettes Dance Education programs provide dancers and non-dancers alike the opportunity to train with and learn from the legendary Rockettes themselves, in their own rehearsal space.

    The Coordinator, will be responsible for the operation of all dance programs, including monitoring the programs’ audition processes as well as implementation, administration and financial tracking. The Programs Coordinator will initiate staffing, venue booking and contracting as well as build and maintain contacts related to dance programs. Programs Coordinator will also be responsible for record keeping, reporting and forecasting for all revenue-based programs on behalf of Rockettes Administration. They will also assist the Sr. Director Production Operations on Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, which could include fostering and developing relationships, assembling metrics and analytics as well as attending functions and meetings as a representative of the Rockettes and our efforts.

    Specific Functions/Activities Summary

    • Assist Directors (both creative and administrative) in developing overall strategy for dance education programs including scheduling, budget needs, program expansion opportunities and budget tracking.
    • Coordinate with Directors on operation of all Rockettes Summer Intensive & Rockettes Mini-Intensive initiatives – including auditions, placement, dancer/guardian relations, customer communication, ticketing, venue relations, merchandise plan, and all associated tracking and on-site administration.
    • Implement Rockettes Experience and other dance classes as booked by internal sales and sponsorship teams. Execute all aspects of the event including interfacing with clients, Radio City staff and attendees, developing class structure as needed, and managing billing and invoicing when applicable. On-site coordination with RCMH team, partner teams, staffing & execution of each of the dance classes.
    • Initiate ideas for new programs, cost-saving strategies based on customer data and streamlining the programs processes to be more efficient and easier to manage.
    • Coordination & on-site execution of all Rockettes Master Classes, RSI Audition workshops, Audition Prep classes and newly identified dance education opportunities, and assist where needed at Open Auditions.
      • Support female empowerment and diversity & inclusion initiatives.
    • Work with marketing team on deadlines and briefs for all program website pages, collateral and promotional material creation.


    • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
    • Ability to work with basic music programs for simple edits.
    • Strong organizational and schedule/time management skills
    • Knowledge of dance studios, conventions and competitions.
    • Experienced with Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and community outreach.
    • Administrative experience with customer databases.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize as new situations and initiatives arise on short notice
    • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to exercise sensitivity to the audience


    Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
