Responsibilities

We’re seeking a creative, experienced, web-savvy temp to hire PrEditor who specializes in wearing multiple hats in the video production process including: shoot prep, operating camera, basic lighting, audio, video editing and producing. The PrEditor will produce, shoot and edit videos to support our marketing department. The PrEditor will manage development, planning, and production of videos as well as ideate and concept digital content. This role should be a high energy, positive attitude, creative who can produce “quality” small video packages end-to end with minimal oversight.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Handle critical deadlines and short turnarounds in a fast-paced environment
  • Interact collaboratively and take direction from Creative, Brand Managers and PNL owners in a 1 on 1 environment, as well as working independently.
  • Assemble recorded raw material into a finished product that's suitable for digital and broadcast platforms. The material may include camera footage, v/o, sound effects, captioning, graphics and special effects.
  • Help create our social media presence by cutting spots for Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc.
  • Write, produce, shoot and edit various spots for all MSG Brands

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Strategic thinker able to translate a brief into exceptional creative marketing
  • Music editing ability, excellent sound design skills for shoot and post
  • Collaborative attitude and willingness to work with designers and writers
  • Active contributor in a team environment
  • Ideally specialize in design and motion graphics skills: After Effects & 3D
  • Calm, Collaborative attitude, and quick thinker
  • Ability to deliver great work in a fast paced deadline driven environment
  • Demonstrated experience with current post production and graphics software, including Adobe Premiere
  • Demonstrated experience in all phases of production – conception, prep, shooting, editing, finishing
  • Knowledgeable about various shooting and editing styles and techniques
  • Expertise in small shoot set ups to include – lighting, video and audio equipment
  • Strong interest in Sports, Music and Live Entertainment
  • Able to weave easily between storytelling, informational, and message-driven content
  • Must be extremely detailed oriented.
  • Must be a conceptual thinker
  • Candidate must have a flexible schedule and be able to work some nights, weekends,
  • and off-hour shifts when needed.
  • Multi-tasker with proven ability to remain calm in a fast-paced production
  • Self-driven, fast on your feet, and willing to chip in as needed
  • Sense of humor a must!

Education

Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
