Responsible All Ventures Office, Studio and Lab IT needs both in a reactive and proactive manner. This person is the first line of enterprise level tech support at Ventures and the primary liaison with MSG Corp. IT function and works as an extension of that team, on site.


Moving beyond traditional workstation and services support, this position will be the primary engineer responsible for computer system and peripheral management and preparation as dictated by Ventures teams on internal Lab work, experiments and developments in house or on location.


  • Desktop level support for PC and Mac workstations
  • Setup of new hire and upgraded workstations in accordance with MSG corp / Ventures Standards
  • Support Enterprise services including portals, email clients, calendaring, and mobile services
  • Work with LAB Manager to procure and inventory items
  • Work with LAB Manager to manage warranted and service contracts as applicable
  • Configuration of temporary rolling racks of gear to spec to support principals technical activities in lab or on site
  • Constant education / re-education into technologies that are an extension of standard IT practice



  • Communication skills and ability to establish relationships with other areas of the company and outside vendors.

  • Excellent understanding of PC and Mac Workstations
  • Working knowledge of Synology SAN / NAS systems and standalone RAID systems
  • Configuration and topology of Thunderbolt driven peripherals
  • Experience in LAN and WLAN fundamentals and first line support
  • Natural and ongoing curiosity about emerging technologies
  • Naturally organized with an extreme attention to detail of system and infrastructure presentation



  • General Savvy with consumer AV systems
  • Knowledge of 4K video standards
  • Proficient in Remote Admin suites
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite or iWork suite including Keynote
  • Experience with Video compression, DVD and Blu-Ray ripping and transcoding
  • Working knowledge of video and still camera systems
  • Knowledge of Broadcast Video Standards - i.e color gamut, frame rates, etc
  • Knowledge of topology of a broadcast machine room environment
  • Knowledge of IP based video systems



  • Predominately office based work

  • Must be able to carry 25+ pounds


Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
