The Arena Greeter’s primary responsibility is to meet and greet customers within our 4 Penn-VIP entrance.

  • Welcome and assist VIP guests and ticket holders upon arrival to our 4 Penn entrance
  • Maintain a friendly cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Open & Close entrance doors upon guest arrival.
  • Answer guest questions regarding Penn Station, Madison Square Garden and surrounding areas.
  • Ensure that the entrance is free of litter and debris
  • Assist guests through entrance and security procedures.
  • Give directions and explain building facilities as needed.
  • In the unlikely event of an emergency, work collaboratively with security by assisting guests.

This individual will work in the capacity of a GER (Guest Experience Representative) with a focus on Main door assignment.


  • Minimum 1-2 years in a customer service capacity (Preference given to VIP services)
  • Candidates who have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred. Educational requirements may differ from job to job based on the role.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication, organizational and time management skills required
  • Must be knowledgeable about local area and Arena events and offerings.
  • Possess exceptional attention to detail and strong follow-up skills necessary
  • Must have the ability to work independently when necessary and as part of a team
  • Ability to present an uplifting personality while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and business ethics
  • Demonstrates integrity, tact, diplomacy and a commitment to company values, and principles while ensuring the upmost consistency
  • Problem solving, reasoning, abilities are used often
  • Strong interpersonal/customer service skills
  • Ability to work among the elements (cold and hot weather as well as rain)
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of days, nights, weekends and holidays. This is a 7 day a week operation requiring late evenings based upon event.
