Responsibilities

The Forum is currently seeking an experienced Box Office Manager. The position is responsible for the oversight of day to day box office operations, including event builds, settlement, inventory management, cash control, internal ticket requests and part-time box office staff management. Additionally, the Box Office Manager will be able to successfully prioritize, problem solve, communicate and produce accurate results in a fast paced environment.

 

 

TICKETING

  • Builds and manages all concerts and special events utilizing Ticketmaster systems.
  • Manages seating inventory from build to settlement.
  • Communicates regularly with internal departments and external clients to address ticketing needs or concerns.
  • Processes all internal ticket requests, fulfills event orders, manages holds and releases.
  • Works directly with Ticketmaster representative in implementing updates or system revisions, ensuring system efficiency and event accuracy.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Provides the highest level of customer service, managing and resolving in person and phone customer service issues, in an efficient and courteous manner.
  • Actively manages will call windows and event staff; ensuring all ticket sellers are providing Forum guests with the highest level of customer service.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for daily balancing and reconciliation of all revenues collected from ticket sales and ancillary income. Manages ticket seller’s banks, and places cash orders for events when required.
  • Assists with reconciliation and settlement including preparation of pertinent reports and miscellaneous back-up for all events.
  • Generates daily sales reports, maintains accurate accounting records and ensures adherence to all instituted company compliance measures.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of related work experience in live entertainment or sports industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of Ticketmaster system.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and resolution skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead staff.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Education

Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
