Responsibilities

The Coordinator, Sales Operations is responsible for logistical and operational support of the Groups Sales and Service team for sports and entertainment properties. This includes inventory management of tickets and lounges, as well as non-event sales management (i.e. tours, specialty experiences). They will provide event support for sales and prospecting events, as well as specialty events (i.e. Rockettes dance classes).

 

In addition to documentation and logistical support, there is an operational component for this position. This includes reporting and inventory management utilizing Ticketmaster Archtics and Host ticketing systems, specifically sales reporting and managing for-sale and reserved ticket inventory.

 

  • Work closely with ticket operations staff and sales management to compile and deliver reports on departmental and sales representative sales utilizing Archtics and Host for all group sales products. (30%)
  • Manage and track inventory and pricing for sports and concert lounges, specialist events in Archtics, Host and CRM (i.e. dance classes). (20%)
  • Create and manage lounge contracts, and all associated logistics, including beverage and food orders, scheduling of staff, and documentation. (25%)
  • Collaborate with premium hospitality sales and service management as well as design staff to create internal- and external-facing collateral created specifically for each individual or company. (10%)
  • Host onsite activities, such as dance classes, meet-and-greets, and MSG Employee speaking engagements. (10%)
  • Manage promotional code construction, use and reporting. (5%)

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ work experience in sales operations support position
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to assess priorities and maintain composure and diplomacy at all times
  • Candidate must be detail-oriented, and have strong organizational and administrative management skills
  • Candidate must also demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and an ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines
  • Strong computer skills (highly skilled in Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.)
  • Understanding of multi-property sports and entertainment companies’ structure, and general internal working environment
  • Excellent interpersonal working skills, ability to work across diverse set of job functions and seniority levels
  • Excellent team player with strong communication skills

Education

Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
