The temporary staffing position in Disabled Services performs functions of the department, including handling calls, processing orders, managing issues and staffing events that include disabled patrons.  Assists in responding to more than 7,000 calls and more than 2,500 emails a year; processes more than 30,000 tickets a year.  Assists in facilitating special requests, entrances and exits and helps to  resolve on-site issues.  The temporary staff also works with the Guest Relations area when high profile or significant events require on-site presence or when high volume calls require multiple responders. 
This is a limited term position ending March 1, 2018.
  • Handles heavy volume of disabled customer calls, fills ticket requests and ensures patrons are accommodated to the best of our ability
  • Helps resolve issues
  • On-site coverage at some events at MSG, RCMH, and The Beacon Theatre to ensure disabled patrons are appropriately situated and needs are met
  • Assists to diffuse situations on company’s behalf and resolves issues at events
  • Works with Guest Relations on high profile events; cancellations and high volume periods
  • Works on special projects as assigned by Coordinator, Guest Relations,Manager, Guest Relations and Director, Guest Relations


  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Solid writing skills
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Dynamic, Excel, Ticketmaster and Internet)
  • Must be people oriented
  • Prior customer relations experience a plus
  • Prior knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act a plus
  • Must have problem solving/conflict resolution skills
  • Must be able to handle heavy volume of customer communication (telephone, emails, letters, faxes)


Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
