The Director of Tours will lead the development and business strategy of the MSG Tour Experience.  This role will work closely with the EVP, MSG Live to create “I Was There” moments by providing tour guests with dynamic, fan oriented, and interactive tour experiences. This role will also leverage our historic venues and franchises to connect tour guests with the MSG brand. The Director of Tours will be a highly collaborative role that works both within MSG and with External vendors to reimagine the current tour offering.

  • Develop strategies and execute tactics to maximize Venue Tour ticket sales and revenue.
  • Oversee the content (Script updates), promotional components, pricing and operations strategies for MSG, Radio City and Chicago venue tours.
  • Identify and develop new programs/partners, maintain outside partnerships and work with legal to help execute and track all agreements.
  • Collaborate with PR, Marketing, Partnerships, Group Sales, Promotions and other MSG/Radio City entities to achieve sales goals and build brand equity in support of the venue tour business.
  • Oversee tour sales tracking and analysis.
  • Implement sales and pricing plans, assist in the creation of a marketing strategy, and guide the development of first-class advertising materials within branding guidelines.
  • Partner with the Marketing department to enhance capture and application of Customer Data to maximize Marketing opportunities (focus on Social).
  • Work with outside vendors to grow ancillary business (Photo Op).
  • Work with venue tour managers and the appropriate MSG resources to ensure content enhancements and changes are executed in a consistent manner.
  • Assist venue tour management with staffing, staff training initiatives and performance monitoring.
  • Work with Bookings/Sports team to create VIP experiences on-site at MSG shows (VIP Room, /backstage tours, soundcheck parties, etc).
  • Connect Tour experience back to MSG Franchises and events in efforts to lift attendance, brand recognition and increase merchandise revenue.


  • At least 3 years of experience in tour operations, project management, or event planning
  • International travel experience a plus
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills
  • Experience with Ticketmaster Archtics & Host a plus
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence decision making
  • Innovative thinking and Creativity in areas such as Content, Sponsorship, Marketing, and Ticket Sales
  • High Energy, and passionate about the customer experience
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and ownership of job responsibilities, with ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure with minimal instructions
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle a large workload while juggling a changing list of priorities


Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
