Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES/FUNCTIONS.

  • Services Executives & guests in a Corporate conference room setting with the ability to adapt to meal period, group needs and a varying dining format.
  • Greets Executives and guests in a positive, polite and efficient manner while maintaining daily meal orders
  • Ability to source 50% of meal requests internally and 50% of the requests externally (restaurants and stores in and around MSG)
  • Answer questions about menu requests, and food allergies while explaining how menu items are prepared, using cooking methods and ingredients.
  • Ability to serve three meal periods, and snack replenishment daily in an efficient and on-time schedule
  • Maintains a pleasant dining experience with the ability to discreetly check on guests throughout the meal period without being obtrusive.
  • Performs clean-up and maintains an impeccable dining area
  • Stock and set up credenza with supplies, snacks, beverages, tableware etc.
  • Maintain Department of Health (DOH) regulations throughout all dining areas
  • Assists with food preparation, washing, chopping, slicing, and arranging food in a presentable fashion.
  • Maintain pantry restock and work in conjunction with the Office Manager to add supplies as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of previous experience in a fine dining or high-end restaurant, hotel or catering environment.
  • Candidates who have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • The ideal candidate must be highly flexible, stress tolerant and motivated, with an ability to work independently. 
  • This person must have the ability to quickly learn the organizational structure. 
  • Candidates must show demonstrated experience interfacing with high level C Suite Executives
  • Able to maintain confidentiality while demonstrating tact, diplomacy and professionalism at all times. 
  • Candidates should be well-organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong judgment, decision making, time management, and prioritizing skills are essential. 
  • Must be energetic, positive, outgoing, and resourceful.
  • Must be highly responsive to emergencies in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Possess exceptional attention to detail and strong follow-up skills necessary
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and split day shifts as needed.

Education
