    The Manager, Business Solutions - MSG Live is primarily responsible for the creation and development of turnkey and customized cross-platform music partnership programs that support revenue generation and partner retention associated with the MSG Live sponsorship budget.  Properties within the MSG Live Budget this role will focus on include: MSG Arena, Theater at MSG, Radio City Music Hall, Beacon Theatre, The Chicago Theatre, The Forum, Tao properties, future venues and music-based platforms.


    The Manager, Business Solutions – MSG Live will work closely with the Director, Program Development and Business Solutions to define the strategic sales plan around music.  S/he will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to lead creation of Live platforms for prospective partners (new business) and current partners (upsells and renewals) through: ongoing communications with music industry relationships, research (identify industry leaders, best practices, emerging technologies), platform development (idea generation, artist curation/collaboration and proposal construction), rate card creation (pricing/P&L development), internal vetting (Division approvals), creative presentations (write sales deck outlines, collaborate with design team to bring vision to life) and inventory management.  Efforts will be focused on music inventory and strategies designed to maximize revenue streams for individual properties and the organization globally.


    S/he will work closely with internal Sales and Account Management teams to position and sell newly created music platforms. In addition, s/he will work particularly close with the VP, Sports and Entertainment Sales to develop MSG-owned music-based partner opportunities (including artist relationship management). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: leading partner brainstorms, working with coordinators in development of customized decks, attending pitch meetings, providing market research and competitive analysis, etc.


    The Manager, Business Solutions LIVE will oversee (in the early stages) the implementation of newly created music platforms in a Project Manager capacity and maintain communication with artist/management contacts.  S/he will work directly with key stakeholders and senior management throughout the company to ensure each music platform is executed properly on behalf of the company, the venue, partners and artists.


    • Oversee music platform development and creation of all sales materials related to MSG Live
    • Lead partnership development process from brainstorm through account management transition, working closely with sales and account management and internal/external stakeholders, including music industry contacts
    • Liaise with sales and account management to understand partner/prospect needs/objectives to create new/customized integrated and compelling music platforms
    • Work with SVP and VP property sales lead on path to budget; create, vet and build music platforms (custom sales material outlines and P&L) accordingly; establish year-long development and sales strategy calendar of deliverables
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders and key music/entertainment industry contacts to be top of mind during music strategy planning
    • Collaborate with VP sales lead, internal/external stakeholders and leverage music industry relationships (i.e. artists, labels, brands) to create MSG-owned music-based partner opportunities
    • Proactively identify new assets and build creative turnkey platforms to generate new revenue opportunities
    • Rate card creation, pricing and P&L development
    • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of all Live properties and assets/rights granted by MSG; becoming everyone’s ‘go-to’ as the in-house ‘expert’
    • Build and manage sales materials ranging from upfronts and evergreens to full decks and compressed 1-pagers
    • Manage available inventory, track sold inventory, deadlines, property assets, designations and promotional rights granted by MSG
    • Collaborate with account management to develop case studies
    • Participate in sales presentations, as needed


    • Education: BA/BS Degree required; MBA preferred
    • Minimum Experience: 3-5 years in music industry (label/artist relationships a plus) with sponsorship experience, providing value-added strategic direction
    • Passion for the music space, maintaining knowledge of music/industry/artist trends
    • Demonstrated exceptional project management skills to drive the process with the ability to create partnerships (vet and price, develop P&L and execute platforms); create sales material outlines, and develop strategy
    • Strong creative and innovative mindset with analytical skills
    • Highly detail-oriented and exercises solutions-focused approach
    • Successful experience navigating through multiple stakeholders at all levels
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
    • Strong work ethic with ability to function independently while managing upwards to keep supervisor informed

    • Excellent time management with ability to plan, organize and prioritize work to deliver exceptional work while hitting deadlines

    Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
