Responsibilities

The Senior Specialist People Acquisition will manage full life cycle recruiting for a broad range of positions including all entry level openings across the entire MSG portfolio, while also supporting the Student Associate program. This position will play a critical role within a fast-paced and customer-focused recruitment team, working to attract entry level talent and drive entry level pipeline through Student Associate Program. The Senior Specialist is responsible for all recruitment functions including resume sourcing, phone screens, in-person interviews, offer generation and onboarding new hires.

 

The position requires the ability to maintain high level of accuracy and precision in the output of work, consistently performing at a high-intensity pace and manage self and work with judgement, tact and initiative.

 

  • Manage full life cycle recruitment for a diverse portfolio of requisitions for dedicated client group(s)
    • Support all People Acquisition efforts and help to drive the recruitment for the Student Associate Program
    • Manage all People Acquisition efforts and drive the recruitment for the all entry level and Administrative openings across MSG portfolio
  • Execute recruitment life cycle, including resume sourcing, phone screens, in-person interviews, department interviews, identifying candidates and on boarding new hires by initiating pre-employment screens and completing pre-hire paperwork
  • Use innovative sourcing and marketing/branding techniques to engage both active and passive candidates; sourcing tools include but not limited to: LinkedIn, Handshake, University postings, and industry-oriented sites & blogs
  • Meet established hiring targets, lead Student Associate, entry level pipeline and conversion rate while minimizing time-to-fill and cost-per-hire metrics
  • Manage and form strategic campus relations by attending on-campus events including career fairs and presentations
  • Facilitate Student Associate events, including orientation and training sessions
  • Maintain relationships with search firms and college administrative offices by being the point of contact for candidate status inquiries, invoices and scheduling
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and travel for candidates; ensure schedule is maintained while candidates are in the offices
  • Ensure candidates have world-class experience by assisting with questions and concerns during the recruitment lifecycle
  • Route requisitions, circulate for approvals and maintain internal/external job postings
  • Lead offer preparation and negotiations with candidates
  • Manage input and output of ATS iCIMS by ensuring all necessary information and paperwork is documented and stored appropriately
  • Collaborate with ELT and HR partners to develop a strong understanding of department structure, business strategy and talent profiles to deliver on the hiring needs of the business
  • Manage referral process by completing phone screens, interviews and following-up with the referrer
  • Educate business partners regarding critical steps in the acquisition process
  • Stay informed of industry trends, market intelligence, and innovative recruiting techniques to attract and compete in a competitive market for talent and internship programs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • 2-4 years’ recruiting experience
  • Proven ability to handle and manage high volume recruiting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sports and/or entertainment industry
  • Experience utilizing multiple candidate development tools, including; social media, networking, referrals, as well as managing retained and contingent searches
  • Strong consultative relationship building skills and ability to effectively interact with all levels within an organization; credibility to influence at the highest levels within the division and firm
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and inclusive team environment
  • Proven capability to proactively and urgently address business issues and escalate, as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast pace, professional environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information appropriately
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in HR or Recruitment, with knowledge of recruitment processes and tools
  • Previous use of iCIMS or similar ATS software

Education

Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
