    Responsibilities

    The Digital Content Producer role is a key pillar of an interdisciplinary approach to producing content. A veteran of digital content production, the Producer will provide subject matter expertise into project estimation (cost, time, resource needs, etc.), scoping of production content, and lastly the oversight of all production activities. In addition to the logistical aspects of production, the Producer will collaborate with the Creative team lead to ensure content quality. The Producer will be able to engage creatively to achieve the business goals within various project constraints. This role reports into the Director of Production.

     

    The Producer will manage relationships with both internal and external production teams and entities. The Producer will improve these relationships and logistics by streamlining onboarding, understanding the capacity and talents of each group, and thus determining which resources to use for any given project.

     

    As an excellent communicator and motivator, this role will embody a sense of co-ownership and accountability for productions involving Marketing Partnerships, while also driving the process. Responsibly managing multiple project priorities is essential as he/she will advise the group on best practices, scope, pricing.

     

    Day to day:

    First and foremost, the Content Producer is advising on the feasibility of creative concepts, ensuring resources are available, and/or are identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions ahead of time. He/she manages the arc of a production lifecycle responsibly, with understandable and repeatable methodologies, and ensures proper reviews and approvals at appropriate stages.

    • Primary contributor during the development of a creative content solutions, by assessing feasibility of proposed solutions and recommending approaches, and participate in brainstorming sessions during creative development when available.
    • Cast production solutions that fit feasibility, budgets, and timings.
    • Select production resources and coordinate their integrated contributions
    • Manage all Production-related tasks and resourcing to ensure projects are up to date, tasks adequately assigned, and communication is clear and consistent.
    • Ensure proper change management documentation is executed as scope changes or project priorities shift, and that new requirements are communicated to project teams.
    • Knowledge of and advocate for production processes; ensures team members follow best practices during project execution
    • Drive proper attendance at content shoots
    • Post-production closeout of hours / pay for production resources
    • A proponent and practitioner of agile methodology and how to manage a project using agilelike principles

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills, and experience with video and photo shoot productions
    • Experience with either print, video and/or digital production, and a strong desire to learn more
    • Superior scheduling, tracking, and follow-up skills
    • Excellent communication skills including the ability to articulate creative concepts and rationale, and manage creative personality types
    • Must have outstanding computer skills and be proficient and comfortable with Mac and PC platforms and a desire to learn new software and technologies
    • A positive, hard-working “Can-do” attitude, and the ability to multi-task on multiple projects simultaneously
    • Desire to be part of an organization that values teamwork and taking care of each other
    • Entertainment Industry and/or Sports Industry experience a plus
    • Experience as an agency producer (5-7 years)
    • Managerial experience (3-5 years)
    • On set experience
    • Experience running shoots, on set
    • Experience administrating and negotiating with production companies, stock music and photography

    Education

    Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
