The primary focus of this position includes processing, accounting and a liaison of all point of sale and inventory system activity for Food & Merchandise. Responsible for the month-end close, accounting and balance sheet reconciliations of various aspects of Food & Merchandise. Manages labor for all venues by analyzing the multiple labor systems and ensuring labor for all venues and all events are properly coded.


All interdepartmental transfers are tracked and managed by this position. This position also collaborates with Food & Merchandise directors and various businesses to ensure proper coding of requests.


  • Capture & review daily sales data and tenders from Info Genesis, Eatec and Appetize by analyzing the daily batch from Eatec and facilitating the interface into Oracle. Also manually reconciling each event in Appetize in preparation for upload into the general ledger. Works with IT to correct any issues with this process.
  • Prepare food & merchandise product line financial statements. Posts proper accruals and reclasses by event for all venues.
  • Analysis of labor, gratuities and accrued expense balance sheet accounts each carrying high volume and high balances on a monthly basis.
  • Researches discrepancies and resolves outstanding issues in a timely manner.
  • Monthly accrual of labor accrual with understanding of complex labor exceptions for all food and merchandise departments.
  • Processes billing requests forms for all wholesale/licensing vendor as well as other outside vendors
  • Tracks and records interdepartmental transfers of Food & Merchandise in all venues and properly accounts for the charge and inventory depletion.
  • Prepare General Catering third party invoices and accounting for General Catering
  • Process consignment merchandise settlements includes working with warehouse to obtain proper paperwork, merchandise contracts from LIVE and preparing the settlements. Reconcile net sales from settlements from Eatec and Appetize systems, material variances must be researched and explained.
  • Assist in quarterly/annual internal, external and league audit requests


  • Detail-oriented with robust knowledge of operations who will take ownership of extensive Food & Merchandise accounting with the use of technological skill
  • Must be proactive with exceptional organizational skills to handle the high volume and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask are vital as well as strong verbal and written communication skills since there’s high interaction with different levels in the company.
  • Available and clear support for daily, monthly and quarterly deliverables
  • Prefer Oracle, TM1 & point of sale system experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and 5+ years of experience
  • Preferably 3-7 years of accounting/finance experience
  • Track record in achieving results
  • Behavior consistent with MSG values


Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
