    Responsibilities

    The Motion Designer creates and produces compelling two and three-dimensional animations displayed on Gardenvision, 7th Avenue Marquee, Arena Exterior Displays, Chase Square Ceiling and the Theater at MSG and Westchester County Center.

     

    •    Design and Animate In-Arena Knicks,Rangers, Liberty, Westchester & Sports Properties motion graphics
      • Communicate directly with Teams, Sales Department, Advertising Agencies and outside clients regarding creation of content

      • 
      Collaborate and peer-review graphics with the design team
      • Design new graphic packages for the Teams, College Sports, Sports Property Events, and other special projects
      • Properly format and label content to for delivery to the Control room and for 
      MSG Signage department
      • Obtain client approval of project content
      • Arrange and attend on and off site meetings, conference calls, media days

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud including After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator.
    • Expert knowledge of Maxon Cinema 4D
      • Designer must be able to work on a Mac Computer
      • Designer must be able to work in a team environment
      • Candidate must be organized and be able to keep track of e-mails, phone calls and potentially multiple projects at once, especially during game days
      • Candidate must be willing to work weeknights and weekends 
      and holidays to cover all events. This is a 7 day a week operation requiring late evenings based upon event.
    • Candidate must be a self-starter and willing to take on any and all projects and meet all deadlines
      • General knowledge of major team sports is a plus
      • Position requires the Designer to be able to access Arena Control Room by staircase 
      • Ability to work with in time constraints

     

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Strong Design Portfolio demonstrating a complete understanding of Design Concepts, After Effects and Cinema 4D
    • Professional experience within the industry
    • Arena event presentation experience

    Education

    Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
