    Responsibilities

    The Corporate Controller will oversee all aspects of the corporate office finance functions of Tao Group, including the preparation of financial statements, coordination of internal and external audits, oversee management companies’ financial statements prepared by third parties, oversee compliance with SOX controls and act as chief liaison with MSG External Reporting and Internal Audit and external auditors (KPMG). The Corporate Controller will report to the CFO and also assist in analyzing new deals as it relates to accounting treatment, prepare and implement accounting policies and procedures, insure compliance with all bank reporting requirements, etc.

     

    • Corporate office finance and accounting, including bank account reconciliations, sponsorship deals, VIP Management business, etc.
    • Coordination and preparation of Tao Group consolidation.
    • Preparation of consolidated financial statements.
    • Review financial statements of third party managed venues and record Tao Group management and incentive fees.
    • Preparation of monthly debt compliance calculations and documents.
    • Write and implement accounting policies and procedures.
    • Oversee compliance with SOX controls and coordinate / facilitate testing with controllers and MSG Internal Audit.
    • Coordinate annual external audit with outside auditors (KPMG).
    • Review new deals and analyze accounting requirements.
    • Special projects as required.

    Qualifications

    • 5-10 years accounting / finance experience with at least three in a management / supervisory / controllership position.
    • Degree in accounting or finance.
    • CPA / MBA a plus but not required.
    • Knowledge and experience with Compeat a plus but not required.
    • Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
    • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
    • Superior organizational skills.

    Education

    Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
