    Responsibilities

    • Oversees Game Presentation for the NY Knicks, NY Rangers, NY Liberty, and Westchester Knicks including the auditioning and selection of all anthem performers, dancers and entertainment acts. Produces, consults and/or approves all pre-produced video content for use on Gardenvision, refreshes the in-game music archive for use during games based on MSG analytics and ticket-buyer’s demographics, and manages the creative development of the New York Knick’s and New York Liberty dance teams.
    • Leads the exploration, design, and implementation of technology/theatrical elements to enhance the “MSG” fan experience.
    • Supports the development and production of audio/video marketing ventures such as “Welcome to Rangerstown” for the NY Rangers, annual shareholder and fundraiser videos and the NYK/NYR team App videos.
    • Works with the appropriate constituents on creating and updating the LED ceiling display content in Chase Square and consults with design firms to keep current with high-end display animation. Provides oversight on the creation and design of the augmented Arena lobby holiday displays.
    • Oversees the technical design and implementation of the in Arena video projection system for on-ice and on-court 3D graphic and interstitial programming elements for Knicks, Rangers and Liberty, as well as the technical and aesthetic design and implementation of the 105+ instrument robotic, moving light installation.
    • Oversees the design of an updated in-arena PA system replacing a 20-year old system.
    • Works with Teams Marketing to support creation and production of any marketing initiatives.
    • Serve as main point of contact for MSG Executive Chairman & CEO and upper management for all inquiries, issues and ensuring standards are being met regarding in game entertainment.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of ten years’ experience as a senior level sports/entertainment production executive.
    • Will have extensive experience and a proven track record in live event and sports production including managing complex production budgets and schedules.
    • Successful track record efficiently creating new content that can be distributed across multiple platforms.
    • Must be creative and have a well-developed sense of storytelling.
    • Must have excellent collaboration skills and instincts and be able to work as a partner with multiple constituencies.
    • Must have strong leadership skills, the ability to inspire and motivate a large diverse workforce based in multiple locations.
    • Will have excellent communication and presentation abilities and strong negotiating/analytical skills.
    • Must have passion and enthusiasm for sports and an affinity for Madison Square Garden.

    Education

    Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
