    The primary responsibility for this position is to lead the development of a successful consumer growth strategy and customer journey amongst youth basketball players and families in the tri-state area. This role will encompass developing programs and partnerships that encourage youth to play and engage with basketball and participate in the Junior Knicks platform. They will also work closely with marketing, ticketing and partnership teams on the creation of ticket promotions, contests and rewards for members and community partners.

    • Identify, recruit and manage a growing network of youth basketball affiliate organizations to provide a foundation for expanded programs, membership and audience growth.
    • Coordinate data capture strategies across all youth programs and activities, as well as identifying and executing additional onboarding opportunities to grow the fan base.
    • Manage Fan Development program databases in coordination with CRM and Engagement Management including updating, tracking and reporting. Segment audiences and prepare contact lists for all marketing and communication.
    • Create, organize and execute a variety of contests, promotions, discounts and offers in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders to add value to Junior Knicks and Junior Liberty memberships and company partners. Coordinate communication of contests, promotions, discounts and offers to youth members.
    • Develop and execute a youth engagement and content strategy in coordination with Digital and Brand Marketing teams. Stay up-to-date on current news and information within youth sports/basketball and curate/generate youth-centric content for all identified media and marketing platforms (e.g. website, social, newsletter, app).
    • Build marketing and sales strategies for all department initiatives in cooperation with the marketing team.
    • Assist in the development of marketing partner opportunities across the Junior Knicks platform, manage the successful execution of partner obligations, and track performance against established goals.
    • Oversee customer service and fulfillment efforts relative to “Junior Knicks” youth memberships including answering phone calls, replying to emails and resolving membership and program registration issues. Coordinate on-site promotional efforts at youth basketball programs and in-arena during Knicks, Liberty and Westchester Knicks home games.
    • Submit purchase orders and process invoices with finance, while managing costs against individual project budgets.
    • Research and stay up-to-date on best practices across all youth-centric brands while making recommendations and applying learnings to improve Fan Development initiatives for the Knicks and Westchester Knicks.

    • Ability to use variety of social media and digital platforms/products
    • Basic accounting knowledge


    Key Knowledge/Achievements

    • Understanding of the youth sports environment particularly grassroots basketball
    • Experience playing/coaching youth basketball/sports
    • Undergraduate college degree required
    • 3-5 Years' Experience


    Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
