    Specific Functions/Activities Summary

    The Manager Team Sales is primarily responsible for supporting and selling sponsorships, fulfillment, and relationship management for the Westchester Knicks franchise. This person will assist in critical business development tasks, such as prospecting and identifying potential team partners, building and preparing presentation decks, maintaining tracking of inventory, and managing the contracting process. The role will work across departments and entities to gain approvals for activations, produce and install signage and promotional materials, and produce season recaps. The Manager Team Sales will also oversee the Sponsorship Fulfillment Budget, which includes the payment of vendor invoices. Throughout the season, he/she will work with the Marketing, PR, and Event Presentation teams to maximize value and impressions for partners. This person will work closely with Marketing team to ensure that all design-related tasks are well thought out and timely completed. This person will be fully empowered to sell sponsorships and hospitality and is expected to be engaged in sales activity when sales support tasks are completed.

    • Generate partnership sales of core, Westchester Knicks inventory and other MSG assets through active outbound sales process.
    • Manage individual sales pipeline with ownership of 40 active accounts, and the ability to add/drop based on activity daily
    • Assist the Director Marketing Partnerships in account management, take ownership of sponsorship fulfillment and manage various internal relationships – including/ but not limited to: Creative Services, Marketing, Game Presentation, Public Relations, Basketball Operations, and Ticket Operations.
    • Support business development efforts and deal making process, which includes building all proposals and presentation decks.
    • Collaborate with internal department to ensure constant communication of new platforms and sellable assets
    • Manage and create new inventory and strategies designed to maximize revenue streams for individual properties and the organization globally
    • Asist in partner/prospect entertainment and relationship management
    • Manage day-to-day expense budget



    • 1-3 years’ experience in strategic marketing/sponsorship execution for both sports and entertainment properties
    • Communicate effectively with Marketing Partnerships and Company Stakeholders
    • Ability to work collaboratively with internal developments to maximize revenue through strategic marketing solutions and innovative sales and marketing concepts
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to think creatively to develop best possible platforms/sales strategies
    • Ability to present proposals to potential and existing clients and to establish strong relationships with sponsors/clients
    • Solid organizational ability including time management and communication follow-up
    • Ability to learn procedures quickly
    • Technical proficiency with PC’s, Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, & PowerPoint)
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or comparable CRM system
    • Bachelor’s degree required, business or sports concentration preferred
