    Specific Functions/Activities Summary

    • Responsible for all day-to-day accounting and finance operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, tax, etc.
    • Responsible for all month-end close processes, including preparation and/or review, as appropriate, of all monthly journal entries, revenue recognition, job costing and all account reconciliations.
    • Responsible for the preparation and/or review, as appropriate, and distribution of all financial reporting, including the weekly cashflow and financial dashboard, monthly forecast and variance reporting, utilization reporting, and project summaries.
    • Responsible for monthly consolidation reporting with Parent company.
    • Manage the general ledger.
    • Maintain accounting policies in coordination with MSG Corporate, procedures, and internal controls to ensure conformance with US GAAP and other laws/regulations as appropriate.
    • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process with internal and external auditors as appropriate.
    • Oversee the preparation and timely completion of all required tax compliance reporting, including all income/franchise tax returns, sales and use tax returns, the issuance of all vendor 1099’s, and other tax or compliance related matters.
    • Ensure accounting systems and processes are continually streamlined via process improvement to achieve greater efficiencies and accuracy.
    • Prepare & manage financial forecasting models and other operational analysis as requested.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting, with a strong preference for a CPA
    • Detail oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication
    • Strong technical accounting skills, with deep knowledge of US GAAP, including prior experience in a Big 4 firm, a public company, or experience with annual external audits.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Experience with Quickbooks Enterprise & Oracle Financials strongly preferred.
    • Minimum 5-7 years progressive managerial responsibility, including all functional accounting areas noted above.
    • Excellent managerial skills – able to lead, mentor and motivate a team to superior and timely performance

    Education

    Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
