    Specific Functions/Activities Summary

    Under the supervision of the Procurement Director, the Procurement Manager position is responsible for collaborating with Building Operations (Venue Management) across all of MSG’s Venues to develop, source, value analyze, and continuously improve all Facility related third-party expenditures estimated between $20- $30M annually across all venues.  This position is charged with executing effective and efficient sourcing plans that are aligned with the strategic objectives of the business through a consultative approach with key stakeholders across MSG teams. The key objective of this position is to understand cost drivers of all the venues and drive execution of best practices for the relative category to reduce total cost of ownership while improving supplier performance resulting in a high degree of stakeholder and customer satisfaction.

     

    Areas of focus (not inclusive) will be the following: Construction Services, Elevator Maintenance, Energy Management, Fire Alarm, Physical Security, CCTV/Access Control Systems, Window Cleaning, Pest Control, Waste Removal, Uniforms, Water Treatment, Building Automation, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Signage, Audio/Visual, Equipment Rental, MRO, etc

     

    • Develop and manage the execution of initiatives across the venues, including data gathering and analysis, market research/intelligence, business requirements development, supplier qualification, preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFP’s), evaluation of responses, preparation of recommendations and contracting.
    • Coordinate with Building Operations, Construction, or other key stakeholders to develop specification requirements and related needs for the scope of work.
    • Utilizes analytical expertise to create and maintain spend reports and total cost of ownership model for assisting the venues in delivering measurable cost savings and reduction strategies.
    • Develop and administer agreements and master contracts in collaboration with the Venues and Legal department optimizing all Venues spend and improving commercial terms.
    • Manage supplier relationships to service performance standards, supplier dispute resolution, etc.
    • Compliance Reporting

    Qualifications

    • BS/BA required. Finance or Purchasing Management degree, MBA or related degree a plus.
    • Minimum of Three (3) years of experience in Procurement a plus.  Minimum of Five (5) years of experience in Venue Management/Facilities related spend (i.e.: Hospitality, Large Arenas, Casinos, Stadiums, Facilities    Management Outsource Providers, Real Estate/Property Management).
    • Ability to perform detailed comparative financial analysis and present summary findings to Executive Management in logical, concise manner
    • Strong management skills
    • Excellent skills in MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    Education

    Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
