    Specific Functions/Activities Summary

    • A Tour Guide is often the first and possibly only contact visitors from around the world will have with our theater. 
    • The hour spent with a Tour Guide should create a positive impression of the building and operations of the “Showplace Of The Nation”. 
    • Tour Guides are responsible for conducting behind the scenes walking tours of Radio City Music Hall. 
    • Conducting tours for the public require you to speak in a clear, informative and entertaining matter for several hours a day. 
    • As you escort visitors along the predetermined route, you will be responsible for general order and safety of the visitors and for using good judgment in addressing all issues of safety and security. 
    • Tour Guides are also responsible for proactively approaching all guests to answer questions and provide general tour and theater information.


    • Experience with public speaking, in a tour-related or entertainment industry desired. 
    • Strong public speaking and communication skills required.
    • Recommended background would include, but not limited to, experience in the theater, performing arts, communications or previous employment as a Tour Guide. 
    • Must possess excellent memorization and time management skills with the ability to articulate and inject energy and enthusiasm into presentation. 
    • High level of commitment and flexibility required to work weekends and holidays as needed.
