Editorial Calendar Management:
This person will own the management of day-to-day editorial calendar including scheduling of posts, management of media/content, and tagging content for digital analytics across Knicks and Knicks Gaming social channels. Publishing includes an always-on presence during all Knicks games & events in addition to off days.
This person will be responsible for content creation spanning team coverage, marketing partnerships, ticketing, merchandise, and community programs. Works with Digital Marketing Lead on content creation across all platforms, including an adept ability to copywrite, proactively identify content opportunities, create reactionary content, and synergize our brand with trending moments and pop culture elements in real time. Additionally, this person will collaborate with design and video departments to create engaging social assets.
Innovation and Industry Expertise:
Identifies industry best practices and innovations with an ability to translate them to actionable learnings and opportunities. The ideal candidate is well-versed in social media, emerging technology, industry innovation, and the latest trends. Passion about and knowledge of the topics that intersect with basketball — music, pop culture, fashion, sneakers—are a must.
Digital Reporting & Actionable Insights:
This person will also be responsible for weekly digital reporting across social channels, working closely with the Marketing Strategy Lead to translate content performance into insights.
Significant knowledge of basketball and the Knicks is a requirement. 3-5 years working in the sports industry is ideal.
