    Role Summary

    The Designer Creative Services is responsible for design, development and production of creative materials including direct mail pieces, brochures, print ads, posters, signage, apparel, merchandise, web banners, and email blast templates for MSG productions, properties, venues, concerts, tours, and shows. This individual will also support broader corporate initiatives including various Garden of Dreams projects. The Designer Creative Services will collaborate directly with internal departments on their design needs by setting up appropriate meetings to help define brand goals and to establish a clear and effective brand message which works towards reaching those goals. This individual will conceptualize, design, and route creative design solutions for approvals within the respective department and organization as a whole. The Designer Creative Services will also be directly involved in branding work including logo development for new initiatives, shows, tours, and campaigns that MSG is developing.

    Specific Functions/Activities Summary

    • Supports the creative team with the design and production of MSG creative materials.
    • Traffics creative materials requests and deliverables from the point of receiving a creative brief through to completion.
    • Quality assures MSG internal assets and works to maintain an organized active and archive drive of projects and files.
    • Creates press-ready mechanical files and works directly with the printer to ensure high-quality results including accurate color, content, and materials.
    • Supports the Productions Marketing team on providing customized campaign assets and marketing materials.
    • Works to identify opportunities to develop and implement design systems and templates for various departmental creative needs.
    • Assists the creative team with brand building and strategy for various internal departments and initiatives.
    • Works with the Rockettes Brand team to design and develop creative materials for dance education programs and provides brand support for new marketing and partnership opportunities.

    Qualifications

    • Proven branding design experience
    • Advanced skills in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) (AfterEffects is a plus)
    • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Knowledge in and passion for print design, digital design, branding, and typography
    • Strong analytical skills, conceptual skills, and ability to brainstorm
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Excels at working in a team environment while also being able to work independently
    • Confident presentation skills
    • Ability to handle multiple projects at once while sticking to deadlines
    • Desire and willingness to learn, grow, and contribute wherever needed

    Education

    Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
